How do I maintain a statutory register?
Open the client’s Statutory Registers tab and create the register you need. Add entries in the Workspace, import them from Excel, and download the register as Word or Excel.
Who can do this: Admin, Partner, Company SecretaryLast checked: 20-10-2026
Create a register
- Open the client and click the Statutory Registers tab.
- Under Available Registers to Create, click the register you need, for example the Register of Members.
- Wait for the green message. You land in the register’s Workspace.
Your own register is also possible. Click + Add New Register, choose Custom Register, type its name and add its fields. Then click Create Register.
Add entries by hand
- In the Workspace, open the Entries tab.
- Click + Add row, or Add Member for a register of members.
- Fill in the row.
- Click Save all rows, or Save for a single member.
Bring in entries from Excel
- Click Download and choose Excel Template.
- Fill the template. Do not change the column headings.
- Click Import Excel and choose your file.
What you will seeA message tells you how many rows were imported.
Be carefulIf any row has a mistake, the whole import is rejected. Correct the file and import it again.
Download the register
- To get the register as a Word document, click Download on the register in the list.
- To get the entries as a spreadsheet, click Download in the Workspace and choose Export to Excel.
Check your work
The cards at the top show the total entries and whether the register is reconciled. If it lists rows needing attention, fix those rows first. The Audit Trail tab shows who changed what, and when.
Cannot see this on your screen?
- Your role must be one of these: Admin, Partner, Company Secretary. If it is not, ask your Admin to check your access.
- Statutory Registers depends on your firm’s plan. If its menu item shows a small lock, your plan does not include it yet. Ask your Admin.
- If your firm’s trial has ended, DueFiler is read-only. You can see everything, but you cannot add or change anything.
