Click New Task, choose the Blank task tab, pick the client, name the task and set the due date. Add checklist items and fees if you need them.

Who can do this: Admin, Partner, Company SecretaryLast checked: 20-10-2026

Create the task

  1. Click Tasks in the left menu, then click New Task.
  2. At the top right, click the Blank task tab.
  3. Choose the Client Entity.
  4. Type the Task Name.
  5. Choose the Statutory Due Date.
  6. Type the Description / Instructions for the person doing the work.
  7. Click Create Task.
What you will seeThe new task opens. It has no checklist or fees until you add them.

Add a checklist and fees (optional)

  1. In Checklist, click + Add Items. Type the label, choose File Upload or Confirmation, and click Add.
  2. In Fees & Expenses, click + Add Fee / Expense. Choose the type, type the description and the amount, and click Add.
  3. To mark the task as needing a digital signature, tick Requires a DSC to file under Filing Requirements.
Good to knowTo create another task straight away, click Create & Add Another. You can also attach files before you create the task.

When to use a template instead

If you do the same filing often, ask an Admin to make an assignment template. Then each new task starts with the right checklist and fees.

Cannot see this on your screen?

  • Your role must be one of these: Admin, Partner, Company Secretary. If it is not, ask your Admin to check your access.
  • If your firm’s trial has ended, DueFiler is read-only. You can see everything, but you cannot add or change anything.
