How do I track DIR-3 KYC for directors?
Open Director KYC to see every director with a DIN and the next due date. Use the row menu and Update KYC to record a filing, a DIN status change or a contact change.
Read the page
Click Director KYC in the left menu. You see one row for each person who has a DIN, even if they sit on many boards. Five boxes at the top show how many are Up to date, Due soon, Overdue, Change pending or Deactivated. Click a box to filter.
DIR-3 KYC is now due every three financial years, by 30 June. DueFiler works out the next due date from the last filing or the DIN allotment date. You cannot type a status by hand.
Record a KYC filing
- Open the ⋯ menu on the director’s row and click Update KYC.
- Stay on the Filing tab.
- Type the Last KYC filed date. If this is the first time, you can type the DIN allotment date instead.
- Click Save filing.
Record a change in contact details
If a director’s mobile number, email or address changes, a fresh KYC must be filed within 30 days. This is separate from the three-year cycle.
- In Update KYC, open the Contact change tab.
- Choose the Field changed and type the Effective date, the Old value and the New value.
- Click Record change.
- When the filing is done, click Mark filed next to that change.
Record a DIN problem
- In Update KYC, open the DIN status tab.
- Choose the new status, for example Deactivated (non-filing of KYC), and click Save DIN status.
- After the DIN is reactivated on the MCA portal, click Record Reactivation.
Cannot see this on your screen?
- Your role must be one of these: Admin, Partner, Company Secretary. If it is not, ask your Admin to check your access.
- Director KYC depends on your firm’s plan. If its menu item shows a small lock, your plan does not include it yet. Ask your Admin.
- If your firm’s trial has ended, DueFiler is read-only. You can see everything, but you cannot add or change anything.
