DIR-3 KYC for every director, in one tracker
DueFiler keeps one row for every director who holds a DIN, however many client boards they sit on, and works out when their next DIR-3 KYC is due. Contact-detail changes that need a fresh filing, and DIN status problems such as deactivation, are tracked alongside it.
Why firms use it
- One row per director. A director on five boards appears once, with the five companies listed beneath, instead of five separate reminders.
- The next due date, worked out. DIR-3 KYC now runs on a three-year cycle under the amended rules effective 31 March 2026, with the next filing due by 30 June. DueFiler calculates it from the last filing or the DIN allotment date.
- Changes that trigger an earlier filing. A change to mobile number, email or address is recorded as its own event with a filing due date, separate from the three-year cycle.
- DIN status watched. If a DIN is deactivated, disqualified or surrendered, the director is flagged and the right people are alerted until reactivation is recorded.
How it works
- Step 1: Add directors to your clients. Every DIN holder you record appears in the tracker automatically.
- Step 2: Record each KYC filing. The next due date is recalculated from the filing you record.
- Step 3: Act on what is due or overdue. Sort by urgency and clear contact-change filings one at a time.
Common questions
How often is DIR-3 KYC due?
Under the amended rules effective 31 March 2026 it is a three-year cycle, with the next filing due by 30 June. DueFiler works out each director’s next due date from their last filing or DIN allotment date.
What if a director changes their mobile number or address?
Record it as a change event. DueFiler gives it its own filing due date and keeps it separate from the three-year cycle, so one never hides the other.
Does a director on several boards show up several times?
No. Each DIN holder is one row, with all their associated companies listed under it.
